Our love story began on a dating app called Bumble amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lauren stumbled upon Michael's photo and was immediately drawn to his bright blue eyes and flowing brown hair which was complemented by the stunning backdrop of the ocean. It was love at first swipe! And a shoutout to his friend Maggie for her photography skills and app navigation.

Their conversations flowed effortlessly, and Michael's photo of a delicious homemade pasta dish sealed the deal for Lauren. They scheduled their first date over Zoom, and it turned out to be the best decision they ever made.

Despite the virtual setting they instantly hit it off. Lauren's phone died after a few hours, but once recharged, they continued to talk and lost track of time.

For their first in-person date, Michael cooked Lauren a gourmet meal with fresh homemade pasta he had perfected after testing a few recipes with his friends. They instantly hit it off and from there spent their weekends cooking, spending time with friends, golfing, tennis, and days at the beach.

Years later, Michael took Lauren to San Diego, the same city they went to on their first trip as a couple. San Diego had become their favorite destination for special occasions, and this trip was no exception.

On the last day of their trip, Michael surprised Lauren with a day at The Pendry spa, and while she was relaxing, he plotted the perfect proposal.

Before dinner, Michael took Lauren to the top of the Grand Hyatt on the 40th floor, overlooking the ocean. As he went down on one knee, the entire room erupted in cheers and applause as he slipped the ring on her finger. Overwhelmed with joy, Lauren said YES, and they sealed their love story with a kiss.

When they returned to the hotel that evening, they were greeted by a group of Secret Service agents. No, they were not there to congratulate the happy couple. It turned out that the President was staying at the hotel and the entire area was under lockdown. It was a night they would never forget.
